Last month we published the list of most influential entrepreneurs-bloggers of Seattle, and no surprises, the list was made of 12 males. Kelly Smith sent me an email asking: Where are the female bloggers?
Have we overlooked female entrepreneurs?
It took a week to compile the list to make sure we didn’t overlook any great bloggers and didn’t include some blogs that weren’t really talking about the subject matter. I looked furiously for the female entrepreneur-bloggers, but I couldn’t find them. I know Ksenia Oustiougova (Founder of Lilipip), but her blog was not so much about entrepreneurship as it’s about Lilipip’s product. I also know Vanessa Fox, but she is more focused on writing about SEO and her posting rate has dropped significantly.
Well, Ksenia might have thought the same thing (“where are the female entrepreneur-bloggers?”) and just answered my question by creating Pregnant With… Startup (feed), a blog about the challenges of being a woman and an entrepreneur. But this is not Ksenia’s blog only. According to her, any female entrepreneur can join and post to it.
I think this is an awesome idea and I hope it motivates more women to jump ship and start they own company.
